Terms of use

By installing or using The King Rules you accept these terms.

1. The game

The King Rules is a version of the King's Game for groups with a single phone: each round one player is king, the rest get a secret number and the king gives orders blind.

2. Minimum age

Only for adults 18+ (or the legal drinking age in your country, if higher). Some packs include adult humour and spicy content.

3. Responsible drinking

Nobody has to drink or obey an order: skipping is always allowed. Sips are game suggestions that each group can change, swap for the alcohol-free mode or ignore. ThreadedCodeLabs does not encourage excessive drinking or drinking by minors.

4. Limits and respect

Orders must be adapted to common sense and to everyone's limits. No contact anyone doesn't want, nothing that puts anyone in danger, and if someone is having a bad time, stop.

5. Accounts and data

No sign-up needed. What information is processed is explained in the Privacy policy.

6. Royal Pass and purchases

• The weekly Royal Pass is a subscription that renews automatically every week at the same price until you cancel it in Google Play, at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
• The Royal Pass forever is a one-time purchase.
• Prices, taxes and refunds are handled by Google Play according to its policy in each country.
• Trying a pack by watching a video unlocks it for that game only.

7. Intellectual property

The design, texts, orders, mechanics and the names «El Rey Manda» and «The King Rules» belong to ThreadedCodeLabs. The typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

8. Liability

The app is provided «as is», for entertainment. ThreadedCodeLabs is not responsible for players' decisions or for the consequences of drinking or of the orders carried out.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; changes will appear here with the new date. Continuing to use the app means accepting them.

10. Governing law and contact
